Chicago Hospitality Resource Partnership

The Early Assistance Team is a collaborative task force working with representatives from hospitality, safety, development and community organizations to assess emerging trends and issues in neighborhoods, provide assistance orienting new businesses and intervening with "at-risk" businesses to improve public safety and resolve conflicts. There are three components to the EAT:

Community Forum: Using a "brown bag" lunch format, community organizations are invited to regularly scheduled forums with the HRP leadership to discuss and develop strategies.

Leadership Summit: An annual Leadership Summit provides an opportunity for city officials to receive neighborhood reports collected during the year for review and consideration.

Mentors: A mentor is a trained volunteer hospitality business owner, manager or employee, or another expert from the neighborhood who has agreed to consult with a business that is identified as “at-risk” as well as new hospitality business just beginning the process of opening. In addition, the mentor may serve in an advisory role on development of the Hospitality Business Orientation and Hospitality Roundtables.
