Planning, Managing and Policing Hospitality Zones - December 6-9, 2006 - Chicago

The HRP Process
Thursday, December 7 - Luncheon Roundtable

The Hospitality Resource Panel/Partnership is a process developed by RHI to assist businesses and cities to plan and manage safe and vibrant places to socialize. First formed in Monterey, California in 1994 to prevent impaired driving, the focus expanded to a business improvement strategy in San Diego in 1995. Today, HRP's have evolved to an advisory role to cities and their dining and entertainment districts.  In over ten years, dozens of cities throughout the United States and Canada have utilized this inclusive, collaborative approach to identify trends, issues and gaps and link existing resources to successfully address them.

In 2005, RHI introduced the HRP process to teams of stakeholders from cities attending RHI’s Networking Conferences.  These teams followed up by implementing RHI's local Leadership Summit to build alliances and develop action steps.

Thursday's luncheon panel will spotlight representatives from cities who have started an HRP or similar alliance during the past year, who will report on their lessons learned, their milestones and expectations for the future.
