Planning, Managing and Policing Hospitality Zones - December 6-9, 2006 - Chicago

LEADERSHIP SUMMIT: PLANNING FOR A 2020 VISION

The closing session will be an open forum with representatives selected from each workshop to report on the outcomes and blend the recommendations into a new vision for the future on planning, managing and policing hospitality zones.

The group will explore lessons learned, and challenges and opportunities facing more densely populated cities, as the "Bookend Generations" seek both the convenience and vibrancy of a downtown environment, and access to contemporary dining and entertainment options. Central to this evolution is the need to examine how city and state codes, regulations and services match the changing demographics, economies and mixed-use districts.
